Free Start Up

Basse Transcription offers no start up fees for computer dictation.  With our services you are able to use a basic microphone and the Windows based Sound Recorder standard with Microsoft Windows (Located under Start> Programs> Accessories> Entertainment) or use almost any digital recorder.  You are able to upload to a secure FTP site and transcription can be done as soon as dictation is completed and then proptly returned returned to you via FTP.  We provide full instructions on this easy and efficient method.

Several FTP programs are available for download free of charge. FTP uses a completely different IP port which assures complete security when transferring files unlike browser based file transfer.

Why go digital?

There are many reasons clinics are switching to digital dictation.  Here are just a few:

*  The quality of digital dictation (via hand-held Dictaphones or voice recorded dictation) is much better than tapes, which can often leave dictation sounding distorted from overuse of tapes and/or damaged tapes.

*  The overall cost is less taking into consideration the amount of money saved over time not having to purchase tapes.

*   Turnaround time increases negating pickup and delivery of tapes and transcribed work.

*  Digital dictation allows you to take advantage of out sourcing work from the office which means no employee overhead (no employee benefits, no SS, FICA, etc. to pay).

*  RUSH transcription available for those reports that have to be done immediately and cannot wait for pickup of a cassette.

*  Negates missing dictation due to lost/broken tapes.

Dictation Recorders

You can also use digital handheld dictation records.  We support most file formats and dictation recorders.  If  you don't already have a dictation recorder, you can buy it through many department, office supply or technology stores as well as hundreds of online stores.

If you already have a recorder you can contact us or send a sample file for us to test, most likely your recorder will work with our system, or we can adjust our system to work with your recorder.
